People in sales have a difficult time closing business sales because they don’t know how to ask the right questions. Asking the right questions in closing business sales is important as closing the deal itself. So, in order to get the right response in closing any business sales, the right questions should be asked.

Apart from asking the right questions, what is essential also is asking it in the right way, or how it is presented. Sometimes, sales people need to tell a short story or anecdote that will eventually lead to the question that needs to be asked. And sometimes, how sales are closed is often vital too.

Here are a couple of examples in which to close the sales properly. The term – the best things in life spiel – needs to be practiced on. In this closing spiel, the sales person needs to compare the decisions that they need to make right now with decisions that they have made a long time ago, which made them happy. This is actually presented to a husband and wife tandem, and they just have trouble saying yes. All that they need is a bit of a push so that they would be able to nod their heads in unison. A classic instance would be something like, “Remember the time when you have purchased something and that made you truly happy? I can see that you are truly happy with your marriage right now. By saying yes to me, you are also saying yes to this product and this would make you truly happy.” These words actually reflect that all benefits from the product would be gained by the husband and wife, and the investment that they would make is small compared to the benefits that they would have.

Another way in dealing with clients is to have them realize that what they would be purchasing is part of the budget. Sometimes, clients have a hard time saying yes to a particular purchase since it’s not part if the budget. As a sales person, make them realize that budget is still important but nevertheless, what they would purchase is part of it. Say something like, “I understand that your budget is something as important to you as anything else but with this purchase and as the one handling the budget, you still have a right to loosen it up, don’t you? With this purchase, you extend some help not just to your budget but to the company as well.”

Hopefully, with these words, it reflects a lot about the sales person. It distinguishes a great sales person from only a good one - rather than just asking for the sales, a good business sale would also help the clients make the right decisions for themselves.

So to be a great sales person, ask the right questions and just watch clients coming in every hour. Not only will items be bought but a great sales person would be an instrument in helping his clients.
